  1. Note that the success criteria relate to the three levels of thinking in NCEA: 'understand' at level 1, 'analyse' at level 2 and 'critically respond' at level 3.

  2. What matters for this task is that you are processing the material. It's fine to have lots and lots of questions in the third column, and this helps me know how to shape the next lesson(s). Try to be increasingly specific about what Baxter wrote about. You may find it useful to take one section of one poem and write what you think is going on, and then several specific questions about the 'hard' parts. It's all about sharing your thinking with me at this stage - there are no wrong questions.
